 When we originally started looking for a hosting company in 1999 it was critical that we found a reliable and scaleable product backed up with first class technical services and support, UKFast were not the cheapest or the most expensive but they have always rated very highly in technical surveys.Over the years we have moved from a basic shared area to our own dedicated server solution and UKFast have made each transition simple and smooth with no loss of service to our loyal and growing user base. Support has always been first class. I spent four years working for Hyperion Software as a financial systems support consultant and I am therefore well placed to judge. In the final analysis we decided we required the safety of a bespoke solution developed on shore, and UKFast quoted a fair price for a system we could apply to the whole of our site without worrying about compatibility issues or developing and maintaining complex code ourselves. The solution was developed quickly and we were given direct contact with the lead programmer assigned to our project. We tested chunks of the system against the site ourselves and all the tweaks and modifications we needed but forgot to specify were taken care of promptly. Programmer even performed some work from home on a Sunday having just got back from a holiday! The system was recently rolled out and we already have over 5000 registered users. We have received about 100 support calls and emails from our users who had a variety of minor problems and not one of those related to the code supplied by UKFast or any of the UKFast services. In fact they were all either user mistakes or browser caching errors on the users machines. Suffice to say we will be using UKFast again for more bespoke developments and have no hesitation in recommending the team who have bent over backwards to support our small business over the last five years. |
